Greeting everyone!
This is the process of "Annie and Sona with kog'maw" which finished at MAY.16 2012.

Because I thought using the series steps of illustrations can help students to understand easily, therefore I saved the pictures when I drew.

Super nice work, how do you go from the black/white foundation to color? Are you using hue/saturation or just color over it? O.o

I use the layer effects like Multiply, Linear Burn,Overlay...etc in the photoshop , I think I use many kinds of layer effect to building the colors in the illustration.

I consider to create the object's color firstly, therefore I select layer effect mode like Multiply or Color to add color in grey tones. I used to made middle tones of colors, and then consider about high light and dark colors, and adding colors gradually by using many layers, it can make sure color not became too strong immediately and maintain the balance of whole color easily.
