The Nation of Quanrong by *bcnyArt is a beautiful piece of artwork! The clothing on each of the wonderfully depicted characters are both intricate and stunning to behold while not overwhelming the viewer.

Description

Illustration work at Feb. 2012.

This illustration was collected in the artwork book called ""東方異繪本 山海繪 海內經篇", this book hosted by the club- 白晝夜行社團, and published by sharp point publishing Group.

In fact, this is my third times to join this club's activity, if you have interest, you can also find others on my dA galleary:

The theme of this illustration is The Nation of Quanrong- Zhou Dynasty ethnic group of present-day western China. It is said that a man in Quanrong who was allowed to have many wife as long as own the power. The feature of this race is their head has horns, male is three and female is one.

The story is enough, but the historical data such as clothes, decorations was hard to find, therefore almost every objects in the canvas were created by myself, or using the references from China or Taiwan aboriginal cultures.

This illustration spent more time than I expected, and most time was using on finding the best thumbnail.

I had saved the processes of creating this illustration, I will release its when I had arranged its, and I need to ask the publish company whether cloud release or not.

Overall, I love this illustration, and hope you also like it!
